Where you live

What changes by state? Not the price, but the summer heat at your door

Not your price: NexLife’s price is the same wherever it ships, and care is online. What changes is the heat at your door. In summer 2026, the hottest region we counted in Texas, around McAllen, reached 86°F or more, the most the Zepbound and Wegovy labels allow outside the fridge, on 122 of 122 days. In Maine, the hottest region we counted did on 24.

Heat

How do you keep tirzepatide or semaglutide cold in summer heat?

Zepbound’s label lets an unopened single-dose pen or vial sit unrefrigerated at up to 86°F (30°C) for up to 21 days, and Wegovy’s single-dose pen can be kept at 46°F to 86°F for up to 28 days. Compounded vials follow their own pharmacy label, which is often stricter. In summer 2026, the hottest region we counted in Texas reached 86°F or more on 122 of 122 days.

Pharmacies

Which pharmacies fill NexLife prescriptions?

Two state-licensed 503A partner pharmacies prepare and dispense NexLife prescriptions.

  • Absolute Pharmacy

Lutz, Florida. A state-licensed 503A pharmacy that prepares and dispenses prescriptions from NexLife’s licensed providers.

  • Boudreaux’s New Drug Store

Lake Charles, Louisiana. A state-licensed 503A pharmacy that prepares and dispenses prescriptions from NexLife’s licensed providers.

Which one fills your prescription depends on your provider’s direction, your location and pharmacy availability. NexLife doesn’t make, compound or dispense medicine. For NexLife’s certification and medical director, see NexLife reviews and licenses.

In their words

What do state boards and the FDA say about care in your state?

Three rules behind NexLife’s state list, in the regulators’ own words.

Why NexLife’s list goes state by state, and why your provider is licensed where you are, from Tennessee’s medical board:

“The practice of medicine occurs where the patient is located.”

Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, FAQ: Telemedicine

Telehealth doesn’t change that rule, as Maryland’s Board of Physicians puts it:

“You must be licensed in Maryland to treat patients in Maryland, including treatment via telehealth.”

Maryland Board of Physicians, FAQs For Telehealth

To check a pharmacy’s license yourself, the FDA’s BeSafeRx page points you to your own state’s board of pharmacy:

“Click on your state to look for your online pharmacy in the state’s board of pharmacy license database.”

U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Locate a State-Licensed Online Pharmacy

Moving

What if you move or live in two states?

Your care follows you: tell us before your next shipment.

Moving to another state? Call or text (949) 818-8000 before your next shipment. Your care moves to a provider licensed in your new state, at the same price.

Living in two states? Tell us both addresses and we’ll check which one your care and shipments should use.

What changes from state to state (coverage, pharmacy rules, state plans) is in each state guide.

Step by step

How do you start NexLife in your state, step by step?

From finding your state on the list to your first shipment, and what to do if you move.

  1. Find your state on the list. Both medicines are available in each state on the list. Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories aren’t listed: call or text (949) 818-8000 to check.
  2. Take the eligibility check. The online health questions take about 3 minutes and confirm whether NexLife’s providers can treat you where you live.
  3. Let a licensed provider decide. Your provider is licensed where you are and decides if treatment is right for you. If you’re not prescribed, you aren’t charged for medication.
  4. Pick your plan. The price is the same in each state on the list and at every dose: compounded tirzepatide is $115 a month on the 12-month plan or $129 month to month; semaglutide $95 or $109.
  5. Get your shipment. A state-licensed partner pharmacy, Absolute Pharmacy (Lutz, FL) or Boudreaux’s New Drug Store (Lake Charles, LA), ships it free and expedited, most often within 1 to 2 business days.
  6. Moving? Tell us first. Call or text (949) 818-8000 before your next shipment. If your new state is on the list, your care moves to a provider licensed there, at the same price.

The same steps, and the same price, in each state on the list.

Vial math

How many units is your tirzepatide or semaglutide dose?

On a compounded vial, the units depend on its strength. Here are the label doses at example strengths, with the math to check your own.

Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide doses on Zepbound’s label, with the volume and units on a U-100 syringe at an example strength of 25 mg per mL; your vial’s label decides
DosemL at 25 mg/mLUnits (U-100)On the label
2.5 mg0.1 mL10 unitsStarting dose, for 4 weeks
5 mg0.2 mL20 unitsA maintenance dose
7.5 mg0.3 mL30 unitsA step up
10 mg0.4 mL40 unitsA maintenance dose
12.5 mg0.5 mL50 unitsA step up
15 mg0.6 mL60 unitsThe maximum, and a maintenance dose

The math: mL = dose ÷ strength (mg per mL), and units = mL × 100. At 25 mg/mL, 10 mg is 10 ÷ 25 = 0.4 mL, or 40 units.

Semaglutide

Semaglutide dose steps from the Wegovy label, with the volume and units on a U-100 syringe at two example strengths, 2.5 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL
WeeksWeekly doseAt 2.5 mg/mLAt 5 mg/mL
1 to 40.25 mg0.1 mL (10 units)0.05 mL (5 units)
5 to 80.5 mg0.2 mL (20 units)0.1 mL (10 units)
9 to 121 mg0.4 mL (40 units)0.2 mL (20 units)
13 to 161.7 mg0.68 mL (68 units)0.34 mL (34 units)
17 onward2.4 mg0.96 mL (96 units)0.48 mL (48 units)

The math: mL = dose ÷ strength (mg per mL); units = mL × 100. At 2.5 mg/mL, 1 mg is 1 ÷ 2.5 = 0.4 mL, or 40 units. At 5 mg/mL, the same 1 mg is 0.2 mL, or 20 units.

25 mg per mL is an example only: it’s the strength of the 15 mg multi-dose vial on Zepbound’s label (15 mg per 0.6 mL). Read the strength on your own vial’s label; your provider sets your dose, in steps at least 4 weeks apart. Every step: the tirzepatide dosage chart. Or enter your own vial’s strength in the tirzepatide and semaglutide dosage calculator. Both strengths are examples only. The same dose is a different number of units at a different strength, so read the strength on your own vial’s label. Your prescription sets your dose and schedule, which may differ from these label steps. Every step: the semaglutide dosage chart.

Is NexLife available in my state?

NexLife is available in your state if it’s on this page’s list: as of November 1, 2026, NexLife’s licensed providers prescribe compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide in each state listed, and a state-licensed pharmacy ships there. Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories aren’t on the list: call or text (949) 818-8000 to check.

Where can I get tirzepatide or semaglutide near me?

Wherever you live, you can start online: a provider licensed in your state evaluates you and, if a GLP-1 is right for you, a licensed pharmacy ships it to your home. In person, health-system weight programs and local clinics prescribe them; with a prescription, brand-name Zepbound and Wegovy come from LillyDirect, NovoCare Pharmacy or a retail pharmacy. Our state guides list your local options.

Can I get GLP-1 weight-loss injections online in my state?

Yes. A provider licensed in your state can prescribe one online if it’s right for you, and a licensed pharmacy mails it: at least 37 programs in our price index sell compounded tirzepatide, and 35 sell compounded semaglutide, in each state our guides cover. Compounded versions aren’t FDA-approved.

Does NexLife have clinics near me?

No, and you don’t need one: NexLife’s care is online. After about 3 minutes of health questions, a provider licensed in your state decides whether treatment is right for you; if you’re prescribed, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy sends it with free expedited shipping. Support is around the clock: (949) 818-8000.

Does NexLife’s price change by state?

No. Compounded tirzepatide is $115 a month on the 12-month plan, $119 on 6 months, $125 on 3 months or $129 month to month, and semaglutide $95, $99, $105 or $109, the same at every dose and in each state on the list. There’s no membership fee.

Which pharmacy ships my prescription?

One of NexLife’s two partner pharmacies: Absolute Pharmacy (Lutz, FL) or Boudreaux’s New Drug Store (Lake Charles, LA), both state-licensed 503A pharmacies. Which one depends on your provider’s direction, your location and pharmacy availability. NexLife doesn’t make or dispense medicine.

What if I move to another state?

Tell us before your next shipment: call or text (949) 818-8000. If your new state is on the list, your care moves to a provider licensed there, at the same price. On the 12-month plan, compounded tirzepatide stays $115 a month and semaglutide $95. The price doesn’t change by state.

Are compounded medicines FDA-approved?

No. In FDA’s words, “Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. This means that FDA does not verify the safety, effectiveness or quality of compounded drugs before they are marketed.” A licensed provider prescribes one only when it offers a significant difference for you.

Does NexLife ship to my state?

Yes, if your state is on the list. A state-licensed partner pharmacy ships your prescription to you, free and expedited, usually within 1 to 2 business days. NexLife doesn’t make or dispense medicine. Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories aren’t on the list as of November 1, 2026: call or text (949) 818-8000 to check.

What if I live in two states?

Tell us both addresses, and we’ll check which one your care and shipments should use. Call or text (949) 818-8000, 24/7. Your provider is licensed where you are, and the price is the same in each state on the list: compounded tirzepatide is $115 a month on the 12-month plan.

How do I know if NexLife can treat me where I live?

Start the eligibility check: about 3 minutes of health questions. It confirms whether NexLife’s providers can treat you where you live, and NexLife is available only in states where its affiliated providers are licensed. A licensed provider then decides if treatment is right for you. If you’re not prescribed, you aren’t charged for medication.

Does my NexLife provider have to be licensed in my state?

Yes. Your provider is licensed where you are. Tennessee’s medical board explains why: “The practice of medicine occurs where the patient is located.” Maryland’s board adds that you must be licensed in Maryland to treat patients there, including by telehealth. NexLife’s eligibility check confirms whether its providers can treat you where you live.

What if my medication arrives warm in summer heat?

Don’t use it. Orders through NexLife ship with cold packs, but a box that shows up warm shouldn’t be used. Call or text (949) 818-8000 and we’ll take it from there. To help, plan deliveries for when you’re home and bring the box inside right away.

How do I check a pharmacy’s license in my state?

Look it up with your state’s board of pharmacy. The FDA’s BeSafeRx page says to click on your state and search that board’s license database. NexLife’s prescriptions are filled by Absolute Pharmacy (Lutz, FL) or Boudreaux’s New Drug Store (Lake Charles, LA), both state-licensed 503A pharmacies.

Important safety information

Compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide are not FDA-approved, and the FDA hasn’t reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. A provider prescribes them only when they offer a significant difference for you compared with an FDA-approved product. Both medicines may cause thyroid tumors, including cancer: don’t use either if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

In studies with rodents, both medicines caused thyroid tumors; it isn’t known whether they cause them in people. Tell your provider if you notice a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or shortness of breath. Serious side effects can include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, severe stomach problems, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes, and a faster heart rate. Tell your care team before any surgery or procedure that uses anesthesia or deep sedation. Don’t combine either medicine with other GLP-1 medicines.

Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective: switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method such as condoms, for 4 weeks after you start and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Both medicines may harm an unborn baby. Semaglutide should be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy. Tell your provider right away if you’re pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.

This is a summary, not the complete safety information. Read the full Prescribing Information for FDA-approved tirzepatide (Zepbound) and semaglutide (Wegovy), and talk with your provider. You can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or fda.gov/medwatch.
