Best semaglutide providers in Florida, 2026

The best semaglutide providers in Florida use prescribers licensed in Florida (or registered there for telehealth) and pharmacies registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy, and they show the full price up front. Online, compounded semaglutide costs $87 to $399 a month, all in, at the 27 of the 43 programs in our price index that sell it in Florida and publish a month-to-month price. Our top pick, NexLife, is $95 a month on the 12-month plan or $109 month to month, the same at every dose, with no membership fee. Brand-name Wegovy at NovoCare Pharmacy is $149 to $299 a month as a pill; the pen is $199 for each of a new patient’s first two fills (through Dec. 31, 2026), then $349 a month, or $399 at 7.2 mg. Florida Medicaid doesn’t cover Wegovy; it lists semaglutide only as Ozempic or Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes. Looking for semaglutide near you? From Miami and Tampa to Orlando and Jacksonville, you can start online and, if a provider prescribes it, have it shipped to your door. Compounded semaglutide isn’t FDA-approved. Prices checked Nov. 4, 2026; Florida rules, Nov. 2, 2026.

NexLife publishes this guide and is one of the programs in it. Every price and rule links to its source.

How we chose

How we chose these semaglutide providers

On Nov. 4, 2026, we checked 84 programs’ public pages, with no quiz, account or checkout: 67 publish prices we could read, and 43 sell compounded semaglutide in Florida. We picked one for each need, judged on what each program publishes: the all-in price at every dose, what’s included, and how it bills and renews. NexLife publishes this guide and is our top pick.

Prices are each program’s published national prices; a few limit what they sell in some states, so confirm before you pay. Full index with sources: GLP-1 price index. Nationally, side by side: best semaglutide providers. By dose: semaglutide price by dose. Month by month: compounded semaglutide price.

Key takeaways

  • Florida Medicaid doesn’t cover Wegovy; it lists semaglutide only as Ozempic or Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes (checked Nov. 2, 2026).
  • Florida’s state employee plan covers GLP-1 drugs for weight loss only with criteria.
  • A pharmacy outside Florida must register in Florida to ship you a prescription; you can look it up in minutes.
  • Your prescriber needs a Florida license or Florida’s telehealth registration to treat you there.
  • Heat is the local risk: Orlando reached 86°F or more on 119 of 122 summer days in 2026; Pensacola on 109.
  • At NexLife, it’s $95 a month on the 12-month plan or $109 month to month, at every dose: $90 under the $199 median of the 27 programs in our GLP-1 price index that publish a month-to-month price in Florida.

How we compared. On Nov. 4, 2026, we read the public pricing pages of the 67 programs in our price index (no quiz, account or checkout) and checked PreventiveMD’s and Mondae’s in a live browser. For each one we record six things: the month-to-month price with every required fee added; whether it rises with your dose; how often it bills (every 4 weeks or 28 days is 13 charges a year, not 12); its prepaid rates and what it takes up front; the 12-month total both ways; and whether it sells in Florida. When a program’s own pages disagree, its row says so.

Compounded semaglutide, from each program’s own pages, checked Nov. 4, 2026 (NexLife’s own prices as of Nov. 5, 2026): NexLife, which publishes this guide, first, then the rest from the lowest month-to-month price up. “All in” adds any membership, program or visit fee you must pay. Prepaid or longer plans are the lower monthly rates for committing to more than a month. 12 months is the month-to-month price times 12, or 13 when a program bills every 4 weeks or every 28 days; first-month offers aren’t counted. Compounded semaglutide isn’t FDA-approved. Under each program’s prices: how it bills, any fees on top, what to know and the dated source.

Pharmacies

Compounding pharmacies licensed to mail compounded injections to Floridians

Only pharmacies registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy may mail you compounded semaglutide. A pharmacy in another state must register with Florida’s Board of Pharmacy as a nonresident pharmacy, with home-state licenses for it and its pharmacist manager. Shipping sterile compounded drugs, such as injections, also takes a nonresident sterile compounding permit, USP 797 policies and an inspection from the past 6 months (1 year for renewals).

NexLife publishes this guide. A licensed provider decides whether a prescription is right for you; finishing the health questions doesn’t mean you’ll be prescribed. Compounded semaglutide isn’t FDA-approved, and it’s prescribed only when it offers a significant difference for you compared with an FDA-approved product.

Can you get semaglutide online in Florida?

Yes. Florida lets licensed providers treat you by telehealth, under the rules below. Your prescriber needs a Florida license or Florida’s telehealth registration, and a pharmacy outside Florida must register in Florida to ship to you.

State law

Getting care online

Florida lets a provider with a Florida license or Florida’s out-of-state telehealth registration treat you through telehealth, to the in-person standard of practice and record-keeping. For weight-loss drugs, the Board of Medicine’s rule (Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B8-9.012) also calls for an exam, a complete history and written consent first, then a re-check at least every 3 months.

A Florida license or registration

Your prescriber needs a Florida license or Florida’s out-of-state telehealth registration. Registrants need an active license elsewhere, no discipline in 5 years and a Florida agent, and can’t see patients in person. Does insurance cover semaglutide in Florida in 2026?

For weight loss alone, rarely. Florida Medicaid doesn’t cover Wegovy; it lists semaglutide only as Ozempic or Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes. Florida’s state employee plan covers GLP-1s for weight loss only with criteria. With Medicare Part D, the GLP-1 Bridge can bring the Wegovy pen or pill to $50 a month.

Florida Medicaid: not for weight loss

No. Florida Medicaid’s GLP-1 criteria, updated Oct. 1, 2026, list semaglutide only as Ozempic or Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes, with prior authorization and an HbA1c of 6.5% or more. Wegovy has no criteria on the state’s drug criteria list, so we found no heart-risk or MASH path. A 2025 bill to cover obesity drugs died.

How many units is your semaglutide dose?

It depends on your vial’s strength. Here are the Wegovy label’s dose steps at two example strengths, with the math to check your own.

Semaglutide dose steps from the Wegovy label, with the volume and units on a U-100 syringe at two example strengths, 2.5 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL; your vial’s label decides
WeeksWeekly doseAt 2.5 mg/mLAt 5 mg/mL
1 to 40.25 mg0.1 mL (10 units)0.05 mL (5 units)
5 to 80.5 mg0.2 mL (20 units)0.1 mL (10 units)
9 to 121 mg0.4 mL (40 units)0.2 mL (20 units)
13 to 161.7 mg0.68 mL (68 units)0.34 mL (34 units)
17 onward2.4 mg0.96 mL (96 units)0.48 mL (48 units)

The math: mL = dose ÷ strength (mg per mL), and units = mL × 100. At 2.5 mg/mL, 1 mg is 1 ÷ 2.5 = 0.4 mL, or 40 units. At 5 mg/mL, the same 1 mg is 0.2 mL, or 20 units.

Both strengths are examples only. The same dose is a different number of units at a different strength, so read the strength on your own vial’s label. Your prescription sets your dose and schedule, which may differ from these label steps. Every step: the semaglutide dosage chart.

Who are the best semaglutide providers in Florida?

Our top pick is NexLife: $95 a month on the 12-month plan or $109 month to month, the same at every dose, from state-licensed compounding pharmacies, with physician-led care, a nutrition plan, a 1:1 coaching call and 24/7 support included. NexLife publishes this guide. For FDA-approved Wegovy: NovoCare Pharmacy, from $149 a month for the pill. With Medicare Part D: the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, $50 a month for eligible enrollees, with prior authorization. Without automatic renewals: Rx.com. For help getting insurance to pay: Ro.

Where can I get semaglutide near me in Florida?

Wherever you live in Florida, you can start online: a provider licensed in Florida evaluates you and, if it’s right for you, a licensed pharmacy ships semaglutide to your door. In person, health-system weight programs and local clinics prescribe it. With a prescription for brand-name Wegovy, NovoCare Pharmacy delivers it, or a retail pharmacy can fill it.

Can I get GLP-1 weight-loss injections online in Florida?

Yes. 43 programs in our price index sell compounded semaglutide online in Florida; our top pick, NexLife, is $95 a month on the 12-month plan or $109 month to month. A provider licensed in Florida decides whether it’s right for you, and a licensed pharmacy mails it to you. Compounded versions aren’t FDA-approved.

Does NexLife have clinics near me?

No, and you don’t need one: NexLife’s care is online, wherever you are in Florida. After about 3 minutes of health questions, a provider licensed in Florida decides whether treatment is right for you; if you’re prescribed, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy sends it with free expedited shipping. Support is around the clock: call or text (949) 818-8000.

Does Florida Medicaid cover Wegovy for weight loss?

No. Florida Medicaid’s GLP-1 criteria, updated Oct. 1, 2026, list semaglutide only as Ozempic or Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes, with prior authorization and an HbA1c of 6.5% or higher. The state’s drug criteria list has no Wegovy entry, so we found no path for weight loss, heart risk or MASH. A 2025 bill to add obesity drugs died.

Does the Florida state employee plan cover Wegovy?

Only through the Weight Management Program. In 2026, weight-loss drugs are limited to its members, who can get the FDA-approved weight-management drugs their provider prescribes. For 2027, it takes 2,000 people, and applications run from 10 a.m. Nov. 2 to 3 p.m. ET Nov. 6, 2026, with a provider referral. Prescribed, FDA-approved diabetes drugs are a covered benefit.

Is compounded semaglutide legal in Florida?

Yes, for an individual patient with a prescription, from a pharmacy Florida has licensed or registered. The FDA declared the semaglutide injection shortage over on Feb. 21, 2025, so routine copies of Wegovy are no longer allowed. A pharmacy may compound it when your prescriber documents a significant difference for you. It isn’t FDA-approved.

Can I get semaglutide prescribed online in Florida?

Yes. A provider with a Florida license or Florida’s out-of-state telehealth registration can treat you through telehealth, held to the same standard of care as in person. For weight-loss drugs, Florida’s Board of Medicine rule (64B8-9.012) also calls for an exam, a complete history and your written consent before the first prescription, then a re-check at least every 3 months.

Can a nurse practitioner prescribe semaglutide in Florida?

Yes. Florida APRNs can prescribe any drug within an established protocol with a supervising physician, and those registered for autonomous practice, after 3,000 supervised hours, may practice primary care on their own. Physician assistants can prescribe what a supervising physician delegates. Either way, they need a Florida license or telehealth registration.

Can a pharmacy in another state ship semaglutide to Florida?

Yes, if Florida has registered it. An out-of-state pharmacy must register as a nonresident pharmacy, and to ship sterile compounded drugs such as semaglutide injections it also needs a nonresident sterile compounding permit, backed by a recent inspection and USP 797 policies. Check the pharmacy on the Department of Health’s license search first.

How much does semaglutide cost in Florida without insurance?

Online, compounded semaglutide runs $87 to $399 a month, all in (checked Nov. 4, 2026). The Wegovy pen at NovoCare Pharmacy is $199 for each of a new patient’s first two fills (through Dec. 31, 2026), then $349 a month ($399 at 7.2 mg); the Wegovy pill is $149 to $299. NexLife: $95 a month on the 12-month plan or $109 month to month.

How do I keep semaglutide cold in a Florida summer?

Refrigerate it as soon as it arrives, and never freeze it. Before the cap comes off, a Wegovy single-dose pen may sit at 46°F to 86°F for up to 28 days, but in summer 2026 Lakeland’s airport hit 86°F or more on 118 of 122 days. Compounded vials follow their pharmacy label. Be home for deliveries.

Does Medicare cover Wegovy in Florida?

Yes, through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, if you qualify. Since July 1, 2026, eligible Part D enrollees pay $50 a month for Wegovy (injection or tablet), Foundayo or the Zepbound KwikPen, with Medicare approval, through Dec. 31, 2027. You need a qualifying BMI, and people with type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea or fatty liver disease ask their drug plan instead.

Important safety information

Compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide are not FDA-approved, and the FDA hasn’t reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. A provider prescribes them only when they offer a significant difference for you compared with an FDA-approved product.

Both medicines may cause thyroid tumors, including cancer: don’t use either if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Read the full safety information

In studies with rodents, both medicines caused thyroid tumors; it isn’t known whether they cause them in people. Tell your provider if you notice a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or shortness of breath. Serious side effects can include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, severe stomach problems, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes, and a faster heart rate. Tell your care team before any surgery or procedure that uses anesthesia or deep sedation. Don’t combine either medicine with other GLP-1 medicines.

Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective: switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method such as condoms, for 4 weeks after you start and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Both medicines may harm an unborn baby. Semaglutide should be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy. Tell your provider right away if you’re pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.

This is a summary, not the complete safety information. Read the full Prescribing Information for FDA-approved tirzepatide (Zepbound) and semaglutide (Wegovy), and talk with your provider. You can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or fda.gov/medwatch.

How we checked. On Nov. 4, 2026, we read the public pages of every program in our price index (no quiz, account or checkout) and checked PreventiveMD’s and Mondae’s in a live browser; on Nov. 2, 2026, we read Florida’s Medicaid, licensing, telehealth and pharmacy rules at their sources.
